Who will benefit from Pilates Treatment..?

Anyone, young or old, can take the class, although it is always best to check with your Doctor before beginning. The gentle exercises are designed with safety in mind, and through initial assessment I will ensure that your personal regime is tailored to your needs. I have clients in their 20s through to 70s.

Will it hurt..?

As your body is gently realigned, muscles which either have been seldom or incorrectly used may ache slightly, but this is usually short-lived.

How quickly will I see benefits..?

Good posture can be achieved quickly, but your body has to be re-trained through repetitive movement and deep abdominal muscles which support the spine may be weak and require strengthening which is achieved with time and patience.

How often do I repeat the exercises..?

This depends on the individual and is based on my initial assessment of your condition. You must be able to perform the moves safely and I will only advise you to do so after we have performed the assessment and taken you through each exercise.

What should I wear to classes..?

Loose fitting clothes - e.g. T-shirt and Joggers. The classes are taken barefoot, as good posture begins with the feet.
